A narrative:
Two lions were having a conversation one day as they shared a meal. Leo lion turned to Larry lion and asked, are you going to eat that?
They both roared in laughter, as Larry said of course I’m going to eat that I am a lion. Larry says to Leo, you’re always asking me to share my meal with you, are you still growing? No I’m fully grown however I am working to eat as much as I can to keep up my strength as I am planning to escape from the zoo says Leo. Larry then turned to his companion Leo and asked, what is a zoo? At this exact moment, the zoo keepers entered and took Leo inside for his scheduled physical examination.
The next day the Leo returned to his favorite place on the lawn and found his friend Larry enjoying a peaceful afternoon in the shade. Larry started the conversation, hey Leo how was you meeting with he doctor yesterday? Great, responded Leo, I am in prime health and physically strong enough to leave the zoo. To this Larry jumped in, that reminds me of our conversation from yesterday as we were talking and you spoke about a zoo? what is a zoo?
Leo turned to Larry and responded, you don’t know what a zoo is?
You see the zoo is the place that we live in right now, and we are here with many animals from all over the world. How do you know we live in a zoo “Leo”, who made you so smart? For your information I often talk to Billy bird as he fly’s into our environment, and he has told me that we live in a zoo said Leo. A zoo is a place where many animals live, and we are sheltered inside of the zoo walls. I was confused to why those walls were there said Larry, but I wonder what is outside of those walls exclaimed Leo.
Billy bird has shared that there is open land and a free world where Lion’s such as you or I could create our own realities and do as we please. That sounds pretty good replied Larry, however I like it here because they feed us every day and the people like to take pictures of me. Yeah you’re right it is good here and I do like the people, however I have got to see the outside of the zoo for myself exclaimed Leo. Larry asked, do you believe that you will be able to get out of the zoo? Leo stood from his belly and responded, I am not sure however I know that I cannot stay here.
A day later Larry returned to the same part of the lawn that he enjoyed to share meals, conversations and shade with his friend Leo on…but this day Leo never came.
After waiting for most of the day he was surprised to see Billy bird come down and search for his dinner near Larry. Have you seen my friend Leo?, asked Larry. We usually meet here at this spot on the lawn, and I haven’t seen him today. I’ve been waiting here for hours and he hasn’t returned declared Larry. Billy responded, yes I saw your friend the Leo early this morning, and he was running fast as he left the zoo. He left the zoo, Larry stated with disbelief. He sure did said Billy. How could he have done it? These walls are so high, please tell me how he did it demanded Larry.
I’m not sure how he did it because I only saw him as he was leaving the zoo, replied Billy. I will tell you this though and maybe it can help you understand better, I imagine Leo left the zoo simply because he decided that he had to for himself.
