What’s going on friend? I am excited to be back with you again as today is another day for us to focus on working to be better. I want to talk to you about a simple concept titled “you are what you think”. Now many of you heard of the phrase, “you are what you eat”, and if you believe this statement it is based on the analogy that whatever you put into your body creates the person that you are.
Well the concept I’m talking about is you are what you think, and I believe it works the exact same way. Whatever you put into your mind, is exactly what you are going to get out of it. So you should start to have nourishing thoughts, thoughts that are prosperous, thoughts that are good, thoughts that are positive, so you can get those same result out of yourself.
Think about it, if you only put negative things into your body you will get nothing but negative out of it…and the same happens with your mind. So don’t put negative thoughts into your mind which are counter productive to yourself, don’t be a pessimist, don’t be your own worst enemy. In fact, you might have heard the phrase “mind over matter”, and the reality is that this phrase is true once you realize that your mind simply by your thoughts can change your existence.
Anything that you want to accomplish in a physical form must start with a mental change. Once you change your mind then everything else is going to be receptive to the same change. The example is an individual who wants to be in better physical shape, and realizes a desire to start going to the gym. This may seem easy, however based on the constraints time in our lives of through family, work, personal, or any other obligations an individual may feel that they don’t have enough time for working out. So what does that individual do…they find out how to get it done. They may have to shorten the time of other engagements, or they may even have to elongate their day by getting up early or going to bed later.
Either way they have made a mental shift in the way the are going to look at their time to make the provisions for working out. If the person makes the time for it and actually gets into the gym after a few weeks, and months, you are able to see the results of work in that person. Only when you see the results do you notice that it wasn’t just a physical change, because it all began as a result of the mental change that they had initially. So just for a second, maybe for a moment, a minute, a day, a week, a month, a year, a lifetime, change your mind. This could either be the reason you haven’t seen the results you desire, or is the very reason that you have.
“Allow your mind to be the strongest thing in the world and it will change the world as you see it. Trust me my friend, you can do it.”
